Optional Services

We also provide those services to clients based on clients choices and home condition.

Radon testing.
Radon is a cancer-causing natural radioactive gas that you can't see, smell or taste. Its presence in your home can pose a danger to your families health.

The Surgeon General has warned that radon exposure is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States today. An estimated 22,000 lung cancer deaths each year are attributed to radon exposure! The U.S. Surgeon General and EPA recommend that ALL homes be tested for the presence of radon.

Wake county is listed by the EPA as zone 2 that correspond to medium exposure level in which the average level of Radon in homes is close to the maximum safe limit set by the EPA.

We partner with a local lab and can complete a 48 hours on-site radon test and can provide you with a detailed report of the results.

Asbestos testing.
Unlike a popular belief, Asbestos in the USA is not banned and can still be found today in some insulated construction material. The 1989 EPA ban of Asbestos has been overturned by the 5th court of appeal!

Asbestos represent a health hazard caused by its tiny fibers when they are disturbed and released in the air. It typically happens when the material is modified, damaged, scrubbed or when it deteriorates with time. Asbestos fiber are known to cause several types of lung cancer, the most common is called Mesothelioma.

Lead Paint testing.
Lead paint has be banned in the USA in 1977. We do recommend houses that have been built in 1978 or before to be tested for lead paint. It is especially important when paint is peeling, flaking, deteriorating or when paint has to be removed part of a renovation project.

Lead is particularly harmful to kid as it can prevent proper cognitive development in the brain.

Mold testing. Mold is the generic name that collectively describes lots of different fungi. It becomes a nuisance when the fungi growth is getting out of control and starts to accumulate in visible spots or patches on inside surfaces.

Mold could be a major problem to people allergic to the spores released by the fungi.

Water Quality testing. City water is regularly controlled by each city’s public utilities departments. The cities water test results are publicly available. For houses that are sourcing their water from well, it is highly recommended to have the water quality checked regularly for contaminants.

For all of our testing, we are partnering with a local lab that can test the samples we carefully collect on site.
